Australia Electrician Invoice Template
Australian electricians must hold a state or territory electrical license and should include it on every invoice alongside their ABN. GST at 10% applies to all electrical services and materials for GST-registered businesses. Tax invoices for taxable sales should be clearly identified as "Tax Invoice". Electrical work must comply with AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules), and certificates of compliance should be listed as a separate chargeable line item where applicable. Electrical invoices need to reflect the real cost of certified electrical work: a fixed call-out fee, time-based labor at a qualified electrician's rate, materials at trade price plus markup, and — crucially — any certification or testing fees such as an inspection report (EICR in the UK). Certification documentation has a real administrative cost and should never be buried in the labor rate.
